Calculate the value of a forex pip from explicit position units, pip size and a manually supplied conversion rate.

Number of base currency units in the position.

Price movement that defines one pip for this instrument, in quote currency per base currency unit. Verify the instrument convention.

Three-letter code for the currency whose units form the position.

Three-letter code for the currency in which the pair is priced.

Three-letter code for the currency in which results are reported.

Account currency units per 1 quote currency unit. When quote and account currencies match, leave blank or enter 1.

Optional timestamp for your manual rate: YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SSZ. This does not retrieve a historical rate.

How this is calculated

Pip value in quote currency = position units × pip size. Multiply by your quote-to-account rate to express that value in account currency.

The conversion rate means account currency units per 1 quote currency unit. When both currencies match, the rate is 1. Pip sizes and lot definitions vary by instrument.
